Artwork Care Guide
Simple, practical guidance for handling, placing and caring for your Amichi Co artwork so it continues to look beautiful.
Thoughtful placement and gentle handling are the most important parts of long-term care.

Framed, canvas or unframed? These notes are for framed artworks: the cleaning steps below apply to the frame and the acrylic face only. Keep moisture off any printed paper or canvas surface. For a stretched or unframed canvas, dust lightly with a soft, dry brush and never wipe it with a damp cloth. If you are unsure, email hello@amichico.com before cleaning.
Moving art: To preserve your frame, it is important to avoid any unnecessary handling or movement of framed prints. If you need to move the works, please ensure that two people do this, keep it upright and do not carry the works from the top or sides only. Avoid any twisting of the framed prints, as this can damage the corners of the frame.
Cleaning: We do not recommend cleaning your artwork routinely; only clean when required to remove any marks or fingerprints, and only clean the affected area.
First, gently dust the works with a soft feather duster or lint-free cloth before cleaning. Then, use a soft lint-free cloth and a very small amount of water to dampen the cloth. Apply the cloth and then dry the area with another dry, soft lint-free cloth immediately.
Heating and cooling: In warmer climates or if the framed works are placed above or near a heater or air-conditioning unit, condensation can occur inside the face of the acrylic front due to prolonged changes in temperature. If you notice condensation, move the artwork somewhere drier and email us at hello@amichico.com so we can advise.
The essentials
Three quiet habits protect the artwork.
- 01Place thoughtfully
Avoid sustained direct sunlight, strong heat and damp zones.
- 02Handle gently
Move framed work upright with two people, supporting it from underneath as well as the sides, and keep fingers off the acrylic.
- 03Clean lightly
Use a soft, lint-free cloth on the frame or acrylic, barely damp if needed; never spray cleaner directly onto the artwork.
