Giclée is the highest standard of fine art printing. Each artwork is printed with archival inks on professional fine art paper, for rich, true-to-life colour, exquisite detail and lasting beauty.

Our artworks are printed on an Epson SureColor P20070 wide-format printer with Epson UltraChrome Pro inks, colour-calibrated with a Barbieri Spectro LFP qb.

Our fine art paper prints are produced on professional-grade, acid-free photographic paper selected for exceptional colour accuracy, crisp detail and tonal depth.

The refined finish helps preserve the clarity and tonal detail of the original image while creating a gallery-quality presentation for the artwork.

It is important to ensure that any handling does not cause damage to your artwork. We suggest to avoid touching the print directly as oils and dirt from your hands can damage the artwork and rough treatments can scratch and harm the pigments.

We recommend not hanging your item in direct sunlight. Each of our artworks has its own hanging method. Please read the instructions provided carefully. We also recommend using acid free tape if you are framing the print yourself to avoid yellowing the print. 

HANDLING & MOVING 
To preserve your frame, it is important to avoid any unnecessary handling or movement of framed prints. If you need to move the works, please ensure that two people do this, keep it upright and do not carry the works from the top or sides only. Avoid any twisting of the framed prints, as this can damage the corners of the frame.

CLEANING
We do not recommend cleaning your artwork routinely; only clean when required to remove any marks or fingerprints, and only clean the affected area.

White & black frames: clean with a soft, damp cloth. For tough marks, contact us before using any cleaning product.

Natural timber frames: we advise avoiding moisture and extreme deviations in temperature (e.g. hanging directly beneath AC or heating). Our natural timber is raw, with no stain or lacquer. If you notice a rough edge, contact us and we’ll advise.

Plexi-glass: only clean when required and only clean the affected area. First, gently dust the work with a soft feather duster or lint-free cloth. Then, use a soft lint-free cloth and a very small amount of water to dampen. Apply the cloth and then dry the area with another dry, soft lint-free cloth.

HEATING & COOLING
In warmer climates or if the framed works are placed above or near a heater or air-conditioning unit, condensation can occur inside the face of the acrylic front due to prolonged changes in temperature. If you notice condensation, move the artwork somewhere drier and email us at hello@amichico.com so we can advise.

We use optical-grade acrylic because it’s shatter-resistant, scratch-resistant, and extremely durable, with added thickness for enhanced protection. It provides better UV protection and reduces glare compared to glass, helping to preserve the vibrancy and longevity of your artwork. Additionally, acrylic is significantly lighter than glass, making it easier and safer to hang, especially for larger prints, which makes it ideal for high-traffic areas or homes with children and pets.

Each frame is sourced from premium solid wood, and is handcrafted in Australia with the highest quality craftsmanship.

Yes, your framed prints from Amichi Co arrive ready to hang! Unframed fine art print sizes are selected to suit standard Australian frame sizes. The artwork crop may differ slightly from framed options so your print is easy to frame while keeping the composition beautifully balanced. Each unframed fine art print includes an additional 10 mm white handling border for easier professional or DIY framing.

Unframed, unstretched fine art canvas includes your selected 4.5 cm edge finish - mirrored, white or black - plus a 2 cm white handling edge on all sides. This provides a total allowance of 6.5 cm on each edge for professional stretching.

For hanging heavy artwork, it's important to ensure both safety and stability. Here are some steps to follow:

1. Choose the Right Location: Decide where you want to hang your artwork. It should be a spot where it won’t be subjected to direct sunlight or moisture. Make sure there's enough wall space for the artwork to have some "breathing" room.
2. Find the Wall Studs: Heavy pieces should be hung on studs rather than just the drywall. You can use a stud finder to locate the studs in your wall.
3. Select Proper Hardware: For heavy prints, it’s best to use sturdy hanging hardware like heavy-duty picture hooks, screws, and wall anchors that are appropriate for the weight of your artwork. The hardware package should specify how much weight it can support.
4. Mark and Measure: Place the artwork against the wall and mark the top centre of the frame on the wall with a pencil. Measure the distance from the top of the frame to the hanging mechanism (wire, D-rings, etc.). Then, from the mark on the wall, measure down to where the hardware should go to support your frame and make another mark.
5. Install the Hardware: Drill holes if you're using screws and wall anchors, or hammer in the hooks directly into the studs. Ensure everything is level and securely fastened.
6. Hang the Artwork: With the hardware installed, you can now hang your artwork. It might be helpful to have someone assist you to position the artwork safely and ensure it's level.
7. Double Check: Once the artwork is up, take a step back and check if it's perfectly horizontal and stable. Adjust if necessary.

Yes, you can hang artwork without damaging the walls by using alternative hanging methods that do not require nails or drilling. Here are some options:

1. Adhesive Hooks and Strips: These are available from various brands and are excellent for hanging lighter prints without making holes. Make sure to choose strips or hooks that can support the weight of your artwork, and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully to avoid any damage to the paint or wall.
2. Hanging Rails: Installing a picture rail along the top of your walls allows you to hang artwork from hooks and wires that can be moved and adjusted without touching the wall itself. This is ideal for those who like to change their art displays frequently.
3. Tension Rods: Similar to those used for curtains, tension rods can be placed between two walls and used to hang art with wires or strings. This method is particularly useful in alcoves or between furniture pieces.
4. Freestanding Display Easels: A large, decorative easel can be an elegant way to display artwork without any wall contact. This is a great choice for very heavy or unusually sized artworks.

Each fine art print is custom-made to order, then carefully printed, framed and assembled by hand. In Australia, please allow 4–10 working days for your artwork to be created, then 2–6 working days for delivery. In the United States, please allow 4–10 business days, then 2–5 business days for delivery.

Timing depends on the size and type of your order, and peak periods such as the lead-up to Christmas can add a little time. You'll receive tracking information with live updates once your order is dispatched, so you can follow its journey to your door.

Please be aware that any items shipped internationally may incur additional fees and duties levied by customs. Every artwork is made to order, especially for you, and we want it to feel as though it was always meant for your wall. If a piece isn’t quite right once it’s home, you’re welcome to return it within 14 days of delivery for store credit, so you can choose the artwork that is.

Returning an artwork for store credit is simple.

1. Let us know within 14 days of delivery: email returns@amichico.com with your order number.
2. Receive your return details: we’ll reply with everything you need, including the address for your artwork.
3. Pack it with care: return your artwork as it arrived, in its original or equally protective packaging, using a tracked, insured service.
4. Choose your next piece: once your artwork has been received and checked, we’ll issue your store credit to use across the entire collection.

Every artwork is carefully checked and packed to travel safely to you. On the rare occasion something arrives damaged or goes missing in transit, we’ll take care of it.

Simply contact us at hello@amichico.com within 24 hours of delivery (or as soon as you notice a parcel is late) with your order number and photos of the packaging and artwork. Please take your photos before hanging the artwork, and keep the original packaging until everything is resolved. We’ll deal with the carrier and arrange a repair or replacement where the damage happened in transit.

If you notice anything later, please still get in touch; we’re always here to help.

Because every piece is printed and finished by hand, subtle variations from one artwork to the next are part of its character. Screens also show colour differently, so your artwork may look slightly different in person. If you notice a significant colour difference or a mark on your artwork, please email hello@amichico.com with a photo and we’ll look into it for you.

To keep your artwork at its best, handle it gently and avoid touching the print surface, as natural oils can mark it and rough handling can scratch the pigments. Hang it away from direct sunlight and follow the hanging instructions included with your artwork. If you’re framing an unframed print yourself, use acid-free tape to prevent yellowing.
