Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

We take great pride in providing our customers with products that are not only of high quality, but also long lasting. 

All our products are made to order, meticulously handcrafted, printed, and framed specifically for you after you've placed your order. We understand that sometimes, despite careful consideration, an item may not meet your expectations. That's why we now offer a 14-day peace of mind policy, allowing you to return your order within this period for a refund or exchange. 

Changes or cancellations to orders are only accepted within 24 hours of your order being placed. If there is a mistake with your order, please contact the Amichi Co Support Crew immediately here or at hello@amichico.com

We know you want to buy with confidence, which is why we ensure all items are listed correctly online with their size and dimensions. We also offer a range of tools and services so that you can feel confident when purchasing online and ensure that you are satisfied with your artwork.

Please note: we cannot accept returns or refunds for gift cards.

Peace of Mind - 14-Day Return Policy

At Amichi Co, we stand behind the quality of our products and want every purchase to be a positive experience. We will do our best to make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. Our 14-day guarantee allows you to return or exchange the purchased item(s) for any reason within 14 days of receiving your order, except for items purchased on sale or with a special promotion. 

Return or Exchange Eligibility: To qualify for a return or exchange, your item must be unused, with all original packaging and tags attached, and in the condition it was received. It must also be in the original packaging. Personalised or customised items are eligible for return only if they do not meet your specifications or are defective. Items purchased during any sale period, special promotion or with a discount code are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange unless specifically stated otherwise.

Return or Exchange Process: To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us at returns@amichico.com. We will provide you with a product return form and detailed instructions on how and where to send your package. Returns or exchanges sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Responsibilities of the Customer: When returning or exchanging an item, you are responsible for:

  • Packing the Product: Securely pack the product in its original packaging or a suitable alternative to prevent damage during transit. It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is packaged adequately.
  • Shipping Insurance: We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
  • Shipping Costs: You are responsible for all return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
  • Authorised Logistic Services: Returns must be sent via authorised logistics or postal services. Items returned via non-authorised services will not be accepted.
  • International Returns or Exchanges: For international returns or exchanges, additional fees, taxes, or duties may apply, for which customers are responsible. We recommend contacting us prior to initiating a return from abroad to clarify procedures and possible charges.

Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of 5% will apply to all returns, to help cover the cost of the free shipping we provide. This fee will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping Address:

  • Australian Orders: Returns should be sent to our facility in Sydney, Australia. The specific address will be provided on the product return form.
  • US Orders: Returns should be sent to our location in New York, US. The specific address will be provided on the product return form.

Refunds or Exchanges: We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. If you opted for an exchange, it will be processed promptly depending on item availability.

Holiday-Edition Gift Collection – Returns & Exchanges

Items purchased from the Holiday Edition Gift Collection are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Due to the limited, seasonal nature of this collection, all sales are final. We are confident you will love your Holiday Edition print, crafted to our highest quality standards and designed to make an unforgettable gift. Please note: Due to exclusive holiday pricing, items in the Holiday-Edition Gift Collection are not eligible for additional discounts, including subscriber discounts, Black Friday sales, and other seasonal promotions.

Faulty Items & Damages 

Although each artwork is thoroughly checked prior to sending and is packaged with the upmost care, we understand that accidents can happen and on the rare occasion your artwork may be damaged by our delivery partner while being delivered to you. 

Please ensure inspect your order upon reception, and in the unfortunate event that an item arrives damaged through the delivery process, please contact us with proof of damage within 24 hours of receiving the parcel here or email us at hello@amichico.com

Please ensure: 

  1. Photos of the damaged areas of the artwork are clearly visible and submitted in .jpeg or .png format
  2. The artwork must not have been hung, placed or otherwise installed prior to photos of the damage being taken

If it has been more than 24 hours since you've received the parcel, we will try our best to work out a solution, however please note that our delivery insurance only covers this 24 hour period of time. 

Friendly tip: If you receive a package which is visually damaged or opened, please insist that this is noted with the carrier before signing for your order. 

Following the damage review, we will evaluate the issue, and may elect to organise a replacement or repair the damaged artwork. We appreciate that delivery of the replacement artwork will be subject to existing manufacturing capacity, inventory, availability and shipping timing. 

Our goods come with the statutory guarantees imposed by the Australian Consumer Law. You can read more about your rights in regards to ‘refunds, repairs and replacements’ from the Consumer Affairs Website here.

For our US customers, Amichi Co adheres to all applicable consumer protection laws. Your rights to refunds, repairs, and replacements are supported under US consumer protection regulations. If you have any concerns about your purchase, please reach out to us at hello@amichico.com.

Artwork Colour Variations & Markings

Our prints are handcrafted using the highest quality products. If there are slight markings or variations these are intentional. 

Please be aware that not all devices and computers will be calibrated to the correct colours, so we therefore can't be held responsible for minor variations in colours when compared to your device. If there are major variations or issues please reach out to the Amichi Co Support Crew here or email us at hello@amichico.com with a picture and we'll assess it in further detail.

Artwork Care & Maintenance

It is important to ensure that any handling does not cause damage to your artwork. We suggest to avoid touching the print directly as oils and dirt from your hands can damage the artwork and rough treatments can scratch and harm the pigments.

We recommend not hanging your item in direct sunlight. Each of our artworks has its own hanging method. Please read the instructions provided carefully. We also recommend using acid free tape if you are framing the print yourself to avoid yellowing the print.
